Ingredients
- Fish 750 gm
- Mixed whole spices 1 tbsp
- Fenugreek leaves 4 (small bunches)
- Tomato 4 (sliced)
- Brown onion ½ cup
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp heaped
- Salt 1 ½ tsp
- Chili powder 1 tbsp heaped
- Coriander 1 tsp heaped
- Cumin 1 tsp heaped
- Allspice 1 tsp
- Yogurt 1 cup (whipped)
- Potatoes 250 gm (cut into big cubes)
- Rice 750 gm (boiled with 2 tbsp salt)
- Kewra water 1 tbsp
- Yellow color ¼ tsp
- Oil ½ cup
- Green chili as required (chopped)
- Fresh coriander as required (chopped)
Cooking Directions
1. Heat
oil add whole spices, fenugreek and tomatoes.
2. Add
brown onion with ginger garlic paste, all the dry seasonings, fry well.
3. Add
whipped yogurt with potatoes and 1 cup water, cover and cook till potatoes
tender.
4. Add
fish, cover and cook for 10 minutes, remove fish.
5. Add
chopped coriander and green chilies.
6. In
a pan arrange a layer of ½ boiled rice with fish masala and potato mixture top
with remaining rice.
7. Top
with Kewra and yellow color.
8. Put
fish pieces on top, leave it on steam for 15 minutes.
