Gooseberry Murabba (Amla ka Murabba)



Ingredients

  • Amla ½ kg/500 gm
  • Sugar 250 gm
  • Green cardamom powder ¼ tsp
  • Kesar or Saffron strand 4,5

Cooking Directions

·  Fill a large pan with water and bring boil in it.
Meanwhile prick washed amlas with the help of fork then add in boiling water let it boil for 10 minutes over high flame.  Drain off the water and set a side.
Syrup:  In a pan dissolve sugar into 3 bowls of water give boil then add amlas cook for half hour or until amlas get soften.
Cool at room temperature then cover and leave for 3 days.
After 3 days take out amlas from sugar syrup and now cook this syrup with cardamom powder till reduce to thicken consistency.
Put amlas into syrup and simmer for a while.
Cool and fill into glass jar or bottle.
