Mango Squash

Ingredients

  • 1 kg sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Mango juice (mango pulp, strained through a fine sieve)
  • 1 kg mangoes for the juice

Method

  1. Add together sugar, lemon juice and mango juice in a pan.
  2. Cover the pan and place it under the sun for a few days.
  3. Ensure giving it a stir at least 3-4 times a day.
  4. When dissolved, store in clean bottles.
  5. Add 4 cups sugar and 2 cups water in a pan.
  6. Bring to a boil.
  7. Make sure that the contents are dissolved completely.
  8. Cook over high heat or till one-thread consistency is reached.
  9. Take it off the heat and mix in the lemon and mango juice.
  10. Store in sterilized air tight bottles.
